Dr. Juan Humberto Sossa Azuela is Head of the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory at the Computer Science Research Center of the National Polytechnic Institute. He is an Emeritus member of the National System of Researchers and a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Engineering. He is also a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is the author of 5 textbooks, 12 patents and more than 450 articles in journals, conferences and book chapters. He has received multiple awards including the National Computing Award from the Mexican Academy of Computing in 2021. He has given more than 455 invited talks. His research areas are Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Metaverses.
