Internationalization of Moscow State Linguistic University: the Cuban vector

positioning of MSLU as one of the leading global universities for scientific and applied research and training of Russian and foreign specialists competitive on the international labor market.

 

Objectives: 

1. Increasing the number of target countries (with the focus on Cuba) and the share of foreign students in the total number of MSLU students at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels

    • analytical work on monitoring and analysis of educational markets, interests and capabilities of potential partners

    • Improving and expanding mechanisms for attracting talented foreign students to MSLU

    • collaborations with Russian and foreign partners, Rossotrudnichestvo

3. Development of a system of academic mobility of students, teachers and staff

    • an increase in the number of cooperation agreements with foreign universities and scientific organizations, primarily those with high positions in world rankings

    • increasing the quantity and improving the quality high-demand network programs in priority areas of training

4. creating multicultural campus environment

    • implementation of a set of measures aimed at supporting and adapting foreign students

    • holding multinational holidays that introduce students to different languages and cultures

5. creation and development of a comprehensive system for studying the Russian language

6. ensuring the modern international level of educational and scientific activities based on the internationalization of the scientific and pedagogical staff (academic mobility of teachers)

7. Updating the international scientific and educational agenda of the university, including through international collaborations

8. expansion of zones and spheres of influence of the university in the export of Russian education
